About River Severn

Britain's longest river is thought of as a place for relaxed cruises through beautiful countryside and the rustic towns of Shrewsbury, Worcester and Gloucester but there's more to the Severn. This river has its own impressive tidal wave, making it irresistible to surfers - a sight that has to be seen to be believed.

The Severn Bore

Witness the phenomenon of the Severn Bore. This tidal wave is one of the world’s biggest, it rolls upstream for 21 miles travelling at speeds of up to 13mph. Fretherne and Maisemore, near Glousceter are ideal spots to observe one of natures wonders.
