Steeped in maritime tradition and iconic landmarks, Liverpool is a hive of marine activity. The Mersey River and Albert Docks cater for just about every water sport from sailors, powerboaters, windsurfers, rowers to PWC users. As a former hub of maritime trade, Liverpool has inherited some of Britain’s grandest canals; the Liverpool-Leeds canal at 127miles is the longest canal in the UK. The city has also hosted several world-class events; the last Clipper Round the World Race, for intrepid novice sailors, set off from Liverpool in 2009, and in 2008 the port was the spectacular starting point for the Tall Ships Races.

Liverpool Waterfront

Liverpool’s waterfront is built around world famous docklands and a designated UNESCO World Heritage site.
