Windsurf boards and sails come in a variety shapes and sizes and the rider's weight will influence your choice. If you are new to the sport it's best to use a small sail and a board that is wide and buoyant - this will give you the confidence and stability to master the basic techniques. As you progress you can move onto a smaller boards, larger sails, and using a harness and footstraps.

  • Sail - 1.9-5.5m without reinforcement (battens)
  • Mast 3.7-5.8m
  • Mast base - connects the mast to the board
  • Boom - the 'wishbone' shaped frame that is used to steer the board
  • Buoyancy Aid
  • Wetsuit
