About Lough Neagh

Bordering 5 counties, Lough Neagh is the largest Lough in Northern Ireland and Britain. Its 150km of water captivate visitors with its tranquil atmosphere, un-spoilt scenery, secluded bays and are home to vast array of water activities. According to folklore; the Lough was created by Finn McCool when he threw a fistful of earth at a Scottish rival. Sailors are spoilt for choice with several sailing clubs including the Lough Neagh Sailing Club, Ballyronan Boat Club or Antrim Boating club. Whilst canoeists can explore the Lough at their pleasure taking longer trips and staying at one of the several excellent campsites on the south and east coast.
