Yorkshire

The tranquil network of Pennine and Yorkshire waterways is ideal for escape, adventure and sheer fun. Hire a row boat or tack and gybe with a tribe at one of the county's 28 sailing clubs.  Paddle the coast at Flamborough Head or dip your toe in to watersports at Pugneys Country Park. Jet skiers arrive all year round at Fosse Hill, while surfers get their kicks at Cayton Bay.

Slenningford Water Mill

Sleningford Water Mill on the River Ure at Ripon runs a unique course for would be paddlers. The one-day Introduction to Moving Water lets you play around in gentle white water to see how your boat reacts. Open canoe sessions and White Water Safety and Rescue courses are also offered.
